Pryme Solutions was recently tapped to create this great new website for Ann Arbor Local Online. The owners of www.annarborlocalonline.com needed a website that was light weight and could easly be updated by staff. The website needed an area for local small business advertising and an area for free residential classifieds. Also, the website had to be scaleable for future growth and additional web features.

The custom features on the website enable the staff to add, edit, and create new advertisments all from any computer that has internet access.

Pryme Solutions created the site using Joomla! An award winning content management system, that uses PHP, MySQL and tableless CSS to give the website a quick, robust, and  featured packed solution.

The marketing director of www.annarborlocalonline.com, Sherrie Ligget, stated that the web site needed to be designed in a way that allowed for future expansion of rich powerful web based features that could made realitivly quickly and with a short learning curve for the staff at Ann Arbor Small Business.  Currenlty our free classified ad will let a user select a category for their item items they wish to advertise, upload pictures of the item or items, and list contact information. One of the great features for our yard/garage sale listing is the inclusion of Google Maps. With the feature included, it allows our web browsers to get exact driving directions from their location to the yard/garage sale location.  Soon our small business advertisers will be able to create their own coupons and post them directly to the web site at their convienance. We are also planning a community happenings web page to help local residents, businesses, and visitors find local attractions and community events.
